Biography
David R. Ferro MTS, CRSP, EMR is the owner of Dave Ferro Safety Ltd. He has over twenty years experience in both field and corporate health and safety positions.
Dave has completed the Emergency Medical Responder program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology(NAIT), the Construction Safety Officer Program at the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) and the Occupational Health & Safety Certificate program at the University of Alberta. He has training in Environmental Resource Management and has obtained a Workplace Inclusion Mastery Certificate from the Aboriginal Human Resource Council.
Dave has recently completed a Master's Degree in Theological Studies. In 2006, Dave received the Suncor Energy President's Operational Excellence Award in the Personal Safety Leadership Category.
Dave is affiliated with the Board for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE), The Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) and the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP). He has extensive board and committee experience, currently serving on the NAIT Advisory Committee for the OH&S Diploma Program as Associate Chair, the Construction Owners Association of Alberta Safety Subcommittee and the University of Alberta's Board of Governors Safety, Health & Environment Committee. He has assisted in the development of the Environmental Health and Safety stream of the NAIT Bachelor of Technology Program. Past boards include Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) Board of Directors and the Alberta College of Paramedics Registration Committee.
